Care4Ukraine

By Joseph Nichols, Organizer

This is just a quick update to introduce a change in our fundraisers name….. “Care4Ukraine.Org: Community and Family Aid Program”. There are no changes in what or where or how we support the IDP’s and at-risk children in Ukraine. The name just better reflects our mission. Keeping the kid’s learning is our focus, but that comes along with providing medical, food, hygiene products, and the other basic necessities of daily life. It means helping the families with minor home repairs or in finding temporary shelter, when needed, and when possible. It means providing emergency equipment such as space heaters, water filtration, small generators for charging phones, ……. the list is long.

As an example, Care4Ukraine.Org also has provided rural areas with a stand-alone radio network for use by village administrations to stay in touch when cellular communications are down. This network has proven reliable in relaying critical medical, family, and other important civil support information at times of infrastructure damage and failure.

As donations are made, donors can specify what program they would like to support, such as a medical or communications effort, by simply letting us know.

As the Ukrainian winter approaches we are in the process of getting supplies and equipment in place to deal with the expected electrical and heating disconnections. The majority of children will continue to learn via non-traditional methods as schools seem to be often targeted.
We will be there, all volunteers, 100% of the donations going to the children, families and communities impacted by this growing conflict.

Thank you for your continued support.
