The current U.S. administration's perplexing actions jeopardize everything we've sacrificed over the past three years. Ukraine embraces American ideals, and unlike Afghanistan, it is bravely resisting. Ukraine relies on the U.S., and we must not let it down. Its leadership is impressive, but Putin is undeniably a dictator. If Ukraine loses, the entire free world loses.

Ukraine didn’t ask for war. Ukraine didn’t invade its neighboring country illegally on the morning of February 24, 2022. It wasn’t Ukraine that sent missiles at maternity and children’s hospitals.

It wasn’t Ukraine that perpetrated mass murders of civilians in Bucha, Irpin, Lyman, and other frontline cities. Ukraine isn't kidnapping children and sending them to re-education camps. Ukraine isn't destroying towns and villages and terrorizing people in occupied territories.

Ukraine isn't conducting massive psychological warfare by meddling in other countries' elections and affairs through bots and troll farms.

Ukraine didn’t initiate this war.

Ukraine wants this war to end. NO ONE WANTS this war to end more than Ukrainians because they are the ones SUFFERING.

But Ukraine deserves a FAIR peace. A peace where Ukraine triumphs with dignity. That the bloodshed and lives lost (including at least 50 Americans so far) mattered.

Actions matter more than anything right now. Please act.

I am writing with deep concerns about the approach to negotiations in the ongoing war in Ukraine. I am disturbed by the direction and rhetoric of the administration regarding Ukraine. America must stand for the truth.
The truth is that Ukraine didn’t start this war. The truth is that innocent lives are being lost, families are being destroyed, and a sovereign nation has been invaded. We cannot allow this to become the new normal. We must uphold the principles of international law.

Beyond being an attack on an independent nation, this war is a direct assault on democracy itself. Ukraine's fight is not just for its own survival but also for preserving democratic values and the international order that has maintained peace and stability for decades. A negotiated settlement that respects Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity is essential to defending these fundamental principles.

As your constituent, I urge you to use your influence to ensure that negotiations regarding Ukraine's future involve Ukrainian leaders. Please advocate for FAIR negotiations to end the War in Ukraine. While I understand the complexities of international diplomacy, we cannot negotiate peace for Ukraine without including Ukraine in the discussions.

The world is watching. History will judge us – and you – by the role we play in determining how this war ends. Let us be remembered as the generation that stood for truth and justice and defended democracy.
