My Summer in Ukraine is a success!

"My Summer in Ukraine" was a success! For four weekends, MSIU attracted over 2.5 million "LIVE" U.S. viewers, an increase of +6% over the same period last year.

Considering that linear TV viewing is down (-5 %) this year, this net swing is +11%. The docu-series gained momentum and grew +20% from its debut week to its final weekend.

Due to our coverage, we raised thousands from donations, merch sales, and in-kind contributions made directly to various causes. As you can see from the snapshot of some viewer comments in the attached photos, we raised awareness and touched lives. 

Filmmaker Rick Ray and I were featured at the Capitol Theater in Burlington, Iowa, last month, showcasing clips of our respective films to a near-capacity crowd. We were featured on various local radio stations and made the front page of Iowa’s oldest-running newspaper, The Hawkeye.

I was honored to be interviewed on prestigious news and lifestyle shows such as KOIN-CBS 6 in Portland, Oregon, WMC-NBC 5 in Memphis, TN, and WTVO Fox 39 in Rockford, IL. WHAT NOW?

CONTINUED WAR, CONTINUED SUPPORT: Horrific daily bombings in Ukraine mean innocent deaths, casualties, displacement, and trauma continue. Sadly, Russia's war in Ukraine is ongoing. Fundraising and awareness campaigns will continue at RawTravelUkraine.com and other venues.

FILM SCREENINGS: We're beginning to book screenings of the film version at festivals, colleges, schools, community centers, and churches worldwide, including Ukraine.
