A short update today………
An important part of our program is nutrition. Providing, and teaching about, healthy foods was incorporated back to early days in Ukraine (2015). Since the early days of the war our deliveries have included as much protein as possible, usually in the form of high nutrition protein foods for the older children (and adults), and infant formulas.
The need for infant formulas at the many maternity clinics and orphanages that operate throughout Ukraine is a critical issue.
Our access to quality (ISO, GMP, Halal Certified) infant formulas has always been good. A global supplier, Geo-Poland, supplies such brands as Mami Lac (Global), Hosland (Asia/Africa), and NutiBaby (Middle East) and we have been able to secure adequate supply in Poland and Germany – much easier and more cost effective than transport from North America.
Supplies of infant formulas (along with just about everything else – except weapons) are very scarce right now as the world experiences a significant increase in natural disasters and conflicts. Donations of food have dwindled as costs have increased.
Our aid deliveries have been focused on the basic needs of people in Eastern Ukraine that are currently living hand-to-mouth and reliant on donations. As they are reliant on donations…. so are we.
Today we asking for your help, specifically to help with the purchase of ten pallets of infant formula. This would be enough for our next four deliveries. Any and all help is huge.
Thank you!
