Americans in Ukraine: Tahszay Ford

Tahszay Ford is a young, talented American from New Jersey who has lived in Ukraine since 2020. When the full invasion occurred in 2022, Tahszay returned to New Jersey briefly to advocate and fundraise for Ukraine, but she soon returned, despite the dangers and discomforts. We wanted to know why an American, and a Black American no less, would choose to live in Ukraine during a war. Tahszay is far from alone; there are other Americans and other Black Americans in Ukraine, but this is HER story.
