In the summer of 2025 I was in Ukraine and met Colonel Monte, a retired U.S. military colonel, who is the founder of The Traveling Colonels. Colonel Monte is a rock steady presence in the world of Ukrainian humanitarian aid. His colleagues, Colonel Chuck, and David (also retired military) are dedicated humanitarian volunteers who move tons of donated medical supplies to front line facing hospitals and stabilization points where it is needed most. Every day, their efforts literally result in lives being saved and they have the letters and commendations to prove it.
