In April 2022, Petro (Peter) Burban volunteered for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served for a year and a half and returned home to Lviv to his family in August 2023.

Peter’s eldest daughter Vasylyna is 7 years old, his middle son Mykhailo is 5 years old, and his youngest son Ivan almost 3 years old.

After coming home from the front, Peter spent two weeks looking for a job. Finally, he found a job in a humanitarian aid warehouse, where he was killed by a Russian Shahed attack drone on his first day at work.

On the night of 18-19 September, Russian troops hit an industrial facility in Lviv, where the humanitarian aid warehouse was located. The attack caused a fire, and the warehouse burned to the ground. Two other warehouses were also destroyed in the city. The total area of the fire was about 10,000 square meters.

We rely on these coordinated, multi-funded NGO warehouses, our volunteers, and warehouse staff to deliver the civilian aid packages of food and medicines.
Peter’s family will receive no survivors benefits as he no was longer in the army.

Care4Ukraine.Org, along with other groups, will be contributing to Peters family for basic living expenses through the next few months. If you would like to help, please note in your donation “For Peter” and your donation will go to the family in full.
