SUPPORT UKRAINIANS ECONOMICALLY BY HIRING THEM
We highlighted on our Donate, Advocate, and Educate pages various ways you can aid and support Ukraine, but one way you can have an immediate financial impact on the life of one or several Ukrainian civilians is to hire them!
Russia’s war on Ukraine has caused untold economic pain to Ukrainians. There are reportedly over 500,000 Ukrainians who freelance part-time or full-time through internet-based platforms whose lives have been disrupted and turned upside down.
The country is full of extraordinarily qualified and talented tech, web, translation, data, and creative professionals in various fields, hungry to work remotely for U.S. and other Western companies.
In addition, millions of displaced Ukrainian refugees need to support their families in their new homes while supporting relatives back in Ukraine. The Ukrainian work ethic is well known, and their honesty and dependability to get projects done on time within a sometimes limited budget have been incredibly helpful to my company.
Now is the perfect time to outsource to Ukrainians or refugees and help them to help themselves. As with any hiring decision, be they vendor, employee, or freelancer, always do your due diligence. Here are a few resources for hiring Ukrainians in Ukraine, remotely, or in the USA.
